A working solution for one of the hardest problems in autonomous logistics - Proven with a working prototype

A working solution for self-parking truck with trailer – developed by Alexander Rosenov Kovachev, M.Sc. in Robotics and experienced Software Engineer, this product is designed to support both current and future drivers worldwide by making parking safer and completely effortless. The system can be integrated into any truck, ensuring a reliable and secure parking process every time.

This technology provides clear benefits for all key groups involved — companies, truck dealers, drivers, and warehouse staff. Drivers are more likely to choose trucks equipped with this system, leading to higher demand and increased production for manufacturers, which ultimately boosts company revenue and strengthens market value.

This invention is protected by an official patent.

How it works

  • Detecting the cell;
  • Start reversing in a calculated trajectory, while a parked neighbour trailer is detected;
  • Aligning the truck and the trailer;
  • Reversing the truck and park it on its cell

The Innovative Solution

  • Full autonomous self-parking semi-truck system: detects the parking space, reduces the duration for the parking procedure, which saves money and time. Significantly minimize the risk of accidents. Blind spot is no longer a problem.
  • It’s a fully autonomous system – can park the semi-truck without any human participation.

Technology

The svstem dynamically computes docking trajectories in real time using sensor-based positioning enabling precise alignment without reliance on pre-mapped environments.
Extended technical detaills and system architecture are available under NDA

Benefits for you

  • Solves all of the difficulties related to the parking of the truck with attached trailer, that includes maneveuring, detecting the parking spot, visibility, G.O.A.L method, fatigue of the drivers and many more. Around 30 % of the accidents with trucks are related while reversing.
  • Significantly reduces the risk of property damage caused by tight maneuvers, poor visibility, or unexpected obstacles in loading areas and warehouses.
  • Improves operational efficiency by speeding up the parking process and reducing downtime during docking procedures.
  • Helps inexperienced or new drivers perform precise parking without stress, supporting better onboarding and reducing training time.
  • Decreases overall driver fatigue, allowing them to focus on road safety rather than difficult parking tasks after long shifts.
  • Enhances workplace safety for warehouse staff, minimizing the chances of accidents during loading and unloading operations.
  • Increases fleet lifespan by preventing recurring low-speed collisions that often lead to expensive repairs.
  • Strengthens company reputation, showing commitment to innovation, safety, and modern fleet management.
  • Boosts profitability by lowering insurance claims, reducing repair costs, and improving truck utilization.

About me

My name is Alexander Kovachev, and I am an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with over 10 years of professional background. Throughout my career, I have worked across multiple engineering domains and I am also the creator of the first fully autonomous self-parking semi-truck system, a project that reflects both my passion and dedication to innovation.
My interests span across engineering, robotics, automotive technologies, software development, mechanics, electronics, and any field that challenges the boundaries of modern technology. My curiosity began at the age of five, when I disassembled my first toy car simply to understand what is inside, a few years later i have made my first electrical circuit — looking back, these experiences weren’t just childhood curiosity — they were the first signs of a lifelong drive to uncover how things work and how they can be made better.
I consider myself a detail-oriented, creative thinker and a continuous learner, always exploring new concepts, tools, and technologies that can transform ideas into real, functional systems.
